Sinai Soriano

Sinai is an active Indigenous youth organizer, land defender, and culture bearer committed to the intergenerational healing of her community and Pueblos. Her active community role includes, but is not limited to exposing formerly incarcerated youth of color to ancestral traditions, advocating for immigrant families, prison abolition, and education equity. Over the years, Sinai has shared medicine on frontlines in solidarity with Indigenous communities challenged by the desecration of their lands, mass incarceration, and separation due to colonial borders.

Beyond her dedication to communities and kin, Sinai is passionate about her education. Sinai received a bachelor's degree in Ethnic Studies and Political in 2022 and in 2024, she moved to Bozeman, Montana to pursue a Master's degree in Native American Studies from Montana State University. Her thesis highlights transnational Indigenous families who maintain deep roots in their communities, the land, and ancestral traditions while being separated by the United States-Mexico border. Her ultimate goal is to continue establishing relationships, growing professionally and within her community, and entering important rooms with others at her side.

In her free time, Sinai enjoys shooting 35mm film, cooking, and spending time outside with her dog.
